On the latest episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, released on November 7, Rogan, alongside comedian and Libertarian Dave Smith, urged Trump to “not attack the left” or anyone else. He emphasized, “Let them talk their nonsense, but unite.”

Rogan stressed the importance of unity, saying, “Now it’s time to unite everybody.” While Rogan supported Trump during the previous election, he reflected on the first term, stating that although Trump had the “right message,” he was often “the wrong messenger.”

According to Rogan, Trump’s polarizing persona led people to overlook the success of his policies. “Donald Trump as the messenger was so divisive that people missed the bigger picture just because of who he is,” Rogan explained.

“Just like Tony Hinchcliffe is an insult comic, Trump’s whole career has been about insults—‘You’re fired! You’re a loser. Rosie O’Donnell’s a loser.’ That’s his shtick.”

Rogan recently sat down with Trump for a nearly three-hour interview, which has since garnered 47 million views on YouTube. The interview was part of Trump’s efforts to reach young white male voters, a demographic that forms a significant part of Rogan’s audience.

Rogan, who had initially expressed reservations about supporting Trump, endorsed him for a second term in a tweet promoting his episode with Elon Musk, writing, “If it wasn’t for him, we’d be f–ked.” He added, “He makes what I think is the most compelling case for Trump, and I agree with him every step of the way.” He confirmed his endorsement, stating, “Yes, that’s an endorsement of Trump.”

Although Rogan had said in 2022 that he was “not a Trump supporter in any way,” he publicly backed the Republican candidate shortly before the election.

During his interview with Musk, Rogan discussed how Democrats had successfully painted Trump as a villain, amplifying his worst moments. “They’ve taken the worst things he’s ever said and amplified them,” Rogan said. “He’s not perfect, but guess what? No one is.”
