Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential hopeful Peter Obi has expressed concerns about his safety ahead of the 2027 general election, saying there is a possibility he may not be alive to contest.
Obi made the remarks during an interview on With Chude, hosted by media personality Chude Jideonwo, which was shared on X on Wednesday.
Obi Speaks on 2027 Presidential Ambition
When asked whether he would definitely be on the ballot in the 2027 presidential election, Obi said he could not make such a guarantee.
According to him, he believes his businesses are being deliberately frustrated.
“Not even a candidate. I might not even be alive. I’m telling you. Every single thing I do for a living, this government is frustrating it. Deliberately so. Everything. So, there is even a possibility, if they have the opportunity, I will not be alive,” Obi said.

During the interview, the former Anambra State governor alleged that every aspect of his livelihood was being deliberately targeted.
