“Well, I’m elated. I’m quite happy. This shows that Team Tonytex has trained real good,” Madox said, expressing gratitude for his team’s preparation.

He noted that their training session earlier in the week translated into their performance on the pitch, saying, “Everything we trained before happened. I thank God for the goal that came through me.”

When asked about his opponents, Madox emphasized that the match was closely contested. “Well, we are on par with them. And football is 11-11.

It’s just the grace of God that gave us the winning,” he remarked. Acknowledging the challenge posed by Live Station, he added, “They came out full-hearted to win this match. They won it last year, so we just took the cup from them because it was a great contested soccer.”

Madox also shared his expectations for the tournament, stating, “Winning the cup all the way. We told them we would win it, and we did.”

In light of Live Station’s dissatisfaction with the outcome, he responded, “There must always be a winner. And the losers will always contest. So, that’s their place. We won it radically. We played good football.”

His comments highlight not only the competitive spirit of the tournament but also the camaraderie and dedication of players in the Above 45 category, where everyone on his team is aged 45 and above. Madox concluded, “I’m sorry they lost,” indicating respect for the spirit of competition.
