In his mournful reaction to the demise of Ms Fatima Kyari, a 25-year-old daughter of the Chief Group Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited NNPCL, Engr. Mele Kyari, over the weekend, Mayor Akpodoro expressed shock over the unfortunate incident but was quick to call on the Kyaris to embrace the injunction of the scripture that promises eternal rest for the faithful.
The Mayor enjoined the Kyaris to take heart, saying God giveth and taketh, noting that although, death is painful to the bereaved family, friends and associates, it is the inevitable end of every mortal.
He added that only God has the final say since humans lack the power to challenge “our creator, we must take solace in his authority, grace and mercy.
He said God shall grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” Mayor Akpodoro said as he called on religious bodies in the country to pray for the Kyaris at their moment of grief.
Kyari, Akpodoro noted, has made a lot of sacrifices to the growth and development of the nation in his commitment to a greater Nigeria through his public service.
He has touched lives as he uplifts humanity, protecting the soul and spirit of the Nigerian state by ensuring that he remains upright in his service to fatherland.
“The Kyaris, therefore, need our prayers to strengthen them in their moments of grief.
“As the Mayor of Urhobo nation worldwide, I stand on behalf of my people to commiserate with the CGEO, his family, friends, and associates.
“May Fatima Kyari’s soul rest in the bossom of her creator,” the Mayor prayed.
