Additionally, it dismissed rumors regarding the impeachment of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, asserting that there is no discord among members of the Senate.

This clarification from the Presidency coincided with the Senate’ s decision to initiate an investigation into the alleged impeachment of Akpabio. In a statement issued by Basheer Lado, the Special Adviser to the President on Senate Matters, the government characterized these claims as unfounded and misleading.
