In an interview with ARISE TV, Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, revealed that despite adding seven new ministers, the administration is committed to lowering governance expenses.
Onanuga stated that President Tinubu is expected to make an official announcement detailing efforts to cut down on government spending.
“By tomorrow, the President will announce a reduction in government expenses, starting with the ministers. While I don’t want to pre-empt the details, the measures will be significant, demonstrating the government’s commitment to addressing the issue of high governance costs,” Onanuga said.
He emphasized that the administration recognizes the need for competent hands to handle critical national issues and drive its agenda forward, but assured that efforts to streamline government spending will be revealed in the coming announcement.
