In an interview on Thursday in Lagos, Okupe pointed out the involvement of global auditing firm KPMG in the process that led to the dismissal of certain ministers.

“President Tinubu made a significant move with this mid-term cabinet adjustment. Scrapping redundant ministries aligns with efforts to eliminate waste and streamline government operations, making it more efficient. This is a commendable step,” Okupe said.

He noted that, for the first time, the removal of ministers was based on objective criteria, such as performance assessments, rather than arbitrary or emotional decisions. He also confirmed KPMG’s role in evaluating the ministers’ performances.

Okupe added that Nigerians are looking to the president and his reshuffled cabinet to take swift action in addressing the nation’s pressing challenges. He expressed confidence in Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ and its potential to transform the country.
