Palmer recently ranked 25th in the 2024 Ballon d’Or standings. So far, the talented midfielder has netted 25 goals and provided 15 assists in 45 matches for Chelsea last season. However, Zola emphasized that the 22-year-old must continue to elevate his game if he hopes to secure the prestigious award.
“He needs to put in a lot of work on his game because he is still young, and there are areas for improvement. If he focuses on that, he can be in the running for the Ballon d’Or, as he possesses the numbers and skills.
