Mr. Joshua Fagbemi, the Nasarawa State Coordinator of the program, shared this information with journalists in Lafia, the state capital, on Friday.
According to Fagbemi, this initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope employment strategy, which aims to equip the nation’s youth with skills in vocational training, agriculture, entrepreneurship, temporary jobs, and public works activities.
He explained that the training will span three months, with the registration process already underway online and scheduled to last for ten days. Fagbemi added that each ward across Nigeria’s local government areas will enroll ten participants.
Successful applicants are expected to begin their training on November 5th, 2024, with the program concluding on December 31st, 2024.
Fagbemi assured that those who complete the program will receive financial support to help kick-start their businesses. He emphasized that the initiative aims to combat unemployment, hunger, and criminality across the nation.
