Minister of Education, Professor Tahir Mamman, stated this on Thursday in Abuja while declaring open the 2024 JAMB Policy Meeting.
The announcement was, however, greeted with jeers as heads of institutions, registrars and other stakeholders at the meeting opposed the decision.
It took the intervention of JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, for normalcy to be resorted at the event.
According to the Minister, underaged students were responsible for some of the problems being encountered in higher institutions.
