The 2024 recruitment exercise by the Niger State Civil Service Commission has been enmeshed in scandal as many applicants who applied for jobs, whose names appeared in the list earlier released in June could no longer see their names. Under the arrangement, each of the 25 council areas of the state, early this year, commenced recruitment of staff to fill vacant positions in ministries, boards and parastatals, but the exercise has been marred by controversy and shrouded in secrecy.
