According to investigations by PUNCH Online correspondent, the victim, a student of Iyana Community Grammar School, Olode, Moniya, Ibadan, had recently completed his final subject for the West Africa Examination Council. The young boy’ s life was brutally cut short in a ritual killing that has sent shockwaves through the community.

Multiple sources revealed that the victim, along with three other boys, had contacted the Muslim cleric for a money ritual. However, unbeknownst to the victim, the three boys had secretly bargained with the cleric to kill him for the ritual. The cleric, now at large, allegedly strangulated the victim to death, beheaded him, and cremated his head.

Family sources described the scene as gruesome, with the victim’ s lifeless body found in a pool of blood in the cleric’ s house. ” We were at home when one of my brothers ran to the house to inform us about the unfortunate incident. We quickly rushed down to the place to confirm it. When we got there, the Muslim cleric had already run away, but we found the victim’ s lifeless body on the ground without a head, ” a family source said.
