BREAKING: Governor Soludo Receives Another Laurel

According to the Organizers of the Leadership scorecard democracy Heroes Award, the event will be an annual awards and public lecture series in honour of General Abdulsalami Abubakar for his sterling and historic contribution in restoring Nigeria to civil rule. The event would also recognize great leaders who have made impact in various spheres of leadership endeavors.

At the Maiden edition of this Award, Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR was recognized as the “Democracy Governor of the Year”, for his intellectual and administrative contributions towards consolidating Nigeria’s democracy. The Award was presented by His Eminence, John Cardinal Onaiyekan, the immediate past Archbishop of Abuja Archdiocese.

Receiving the award on behalf of Governor Soludo, Rt. Hon. Beverly Ikpeazu-Nkemdiche, the Commissioner for Special Duties, Anambra State, thanked the organizers for the rare honour. In her acceptance speech, she stated that Governor Soludo breaths and eats democracy and is a firm believer in its tenets. Other Awardees include, Prof. Babgana Zulum, Governor of Borno State who was present at the Occasion; the Governor of Plateau State and His Eminence, John Cardinal Onaiyekan. The event also featured a Keynote lecture by the Kenyan Activist, Prof. P.L.O Lumumba, and the Launch of a book put together in honour of General Abdulsalami Abubakar who was in attendance with his wife, Justice Fati Abubakar..
