According to the statement released by Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu left Nigeria on the 3rd of October for a two- week working vacation. During this period, the president has remained fully engaged with national matters.
He continues to issue directives, hold consultations, and manage affairs from abroad, ensuring that no aspect of governance is neglected. The statement emphasized that the president’ s vacation will soon come to an end, and he is expected to return before the official expiration of his break.
Meanwhile, Vice President Shettima also departed the country on Wednesday for an official trip to Sweden. His visit is centered on promoting Nigeria’ s interests abroad, with a focus on strengthening diplomatic and economic relations.
The State House clarified that both the president and vice president are actively performing their duties, albeit from different locations outside the country. In the absence of both the president and vice president, all critical government offices are fully operational.
