BREAKING: Tinubu nominates new REC, National Commissioner for INEC

Tinubu nominates new REC, National Commissioner for INEC. President Tinubu has nominated a lawyer, Saseyi Feyijimi Ibiyemi, as resident electoral commissioner for Ondo State. If cleared by the Senate, Ibiyemi will replace another lawyer, Niyi Ijalaye, who died in August while serving as the resident electoral commissioner. A statement from Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy noted that Ibiyemi, 58, hails from Ilaje in Ondo State.
