Falconets head coach, Chris Danjuma has said the team is in Colombia to win the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup title.

Danjuma and his players arrived Bogota on Sunday night for a two-week training exercise.

The Falconets will engage in friendlies with Australia and Mexico as part of their preparation for the competition.

The gaffer said his team have the mandate to return home with the trophy.

“We have the mandate and support of the Government and people of Nigeria to come here and give it our best fight-and-push,” Danjuma said on his team’s arrival in Bogota

“Our Sports Minister reminded us of the fact that Nigeria finished second in 2010 and 2014, and reached the semi finals in 2012. He charged us to come back with the trophy this time, and that is our objective.”

Nigeria will face Germany, Venezuela, and Korea Republic in Group D.

Colombia will host the competition from August 31 to September 22.
