Arsenal on Sunday defeated Lyon 2-0 to win the Emirates Cup for the eighth time on Sunday afternoon.

Before the Lyon game, the Gunners had thrashed Bayer Leverkusen 4-1 on Wednesday.

However, two Declan Rice corners were headed in by William Saliba in the 9th minute and Gabriel in the 27th.

Lyon had a chance to pull one back when Perri threw the ball forward to Ernest Nuamah but after bursting through on goal, he was stopped by Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya, who parried the ball over the bar.

Arsenal will now shift their attention to the new Premier League season.

Mikel Arteta’s side will face Wolves Emirates Stadium in their first match of the new campaign on Saturday, August 17.
