Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag, has described Casemiro as a ‘very important player.’
Ten Hag said this while speaking out on the midfielder’s future after impressive Community Shield display against Manchester City on Saturday.
Casemiro has been heavily linked with a move away from Manchester United this summer.
But Ten Hag has now ‘signal’ that the Brazilian could remain at Old Trafford this summer.
When asked whether Casemiro will remain at Old Trafford, Ten Hag said at his post-match interview: “I don’t have any signal he won’t stay at the club. We are very happy with that.”
He added, “As a team we work very well and that is easier for Casemiro. He is a great player and can bring his skillset. He is very important for our team.”
