First Lady condemns abuse of teenagers, vows to get justice

Ebonyi State’s First Lady, Mary-Maudline Nwifuru, has condemned the dehumanizing of two teenage girls in Ojiegbe Ngbo community in the Ohaukwu Local Government Area of the state. The First Lady, in a statement issued by her Press Secretary, Mrs. Nnenna Oshibe, expressed shock over the viral video making the rounds on social media of two teenage girls stripped naked and flogged by youths in Ojiegbe Ngbo community for stealing two old layers. She described their actions as “deeply troubling” and a “grave violation of human dignity.” She emphasized that every citizen in the state, particularly young girls and women, deserves to live free from harm, fear, abuse, mistreatment, or violence, as it is not acceptable nor tolerated……Read Full Article
