According to Dele Momodu, he wrote a letter to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu explaining the current situation of things in Nigeria but the former presidential aide responded to the letter by defending the current administration.

Reacting to Reno Omokri’s response to his letter, Dele Momodu stated that all the economic ratings that he quoted have no meaning in Nigeria of today. He said Reno fails to understand the difference between economics and economy. Dele Momodu stated that economics deals mainly with textbook theories while the economy deals with the practical and realistic conditions of the people on day to day basis.

He said the economy of Nigeria is haemorrhaging to death and some pseudo economists are regaling the citizens with an over-romanticized magic of IMF/World Bank.

He said he doesn’t know when Reno Omokri took the jobs of Ajuri Ngelale and Bayo Onanuga.

“When did Reno become a born again Tinubuist that he has forcefully taken over the jobs of Ajuri and Onanuga combined. Otherwise, he would have known the difference between economics and ECONOMY. Economics deals mainly with textbook theories while the ECONOMY deals with the practical and realistic conditions of the people on day to day basis.

All the economic ratings quoted by Reno have no meaning in Nigeria of today. No textbook can envisage or assuage the unprecedented hunger and suffering of Nigerians”
