Former Super Eagles head coach Finidi George has opened up about Victor Osimhen’s verbal attack against him following his resignation in June. The Galatasaray striker took to social media to attack the former international over claims that he faked an injury to miss Nigeria’s World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic in June. However, the report turned out to be false and misleading. In a latest development, Finidi George, who is the current head coach of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Rivers United, disclosed that Osimhen didn’t apologize despite reaching out to him to clarify the issue.

“I sent him a message that it was not the best way, just someone telling you that the coach said that and you’re talking about me like I said it in an interview,” Finidi told Nigeria Info FM as quoted by OwnGoalNigeria.
