Omoyele Sowore, former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), has shared his reasons for refusing to form a coalition with Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate. Sowore argued that Obi is no different from other corrupt politicians, asserting that his strength lies in his ability to “package” himself effectively. In a recent appearance on the Honest Bunch Podcast, Sowore emphasized that he had been campaigning for the presidency long before Obi became a household name. He said, “Before Peter Obi became known, I was already running for President. All this hype around him is just about packaging. This visit comes at the invitation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
During his trip, Prime Minister Modi will engage in talks aimed at enhancing the strategic partnership between India and Nigeria and identifying new opportunities for deepening bilateral cooperation.
He is also expected to address the Indian community in Nigeria.
