His death got the footballing world emotional and the tributes to his memory came from all over the world.

During his living days, Junior Agogo scored 12 goals in 27 caps for Ghana and won bronze medal at the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations.

Agogo also played for clubs like Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest in England while donning as well Chicago Fires and San José Earthquakes colours in USA’s Major Soccer League.

Five year after his demise, Ghana Black Stars X handle paid him tribute.

“Remembering a legend. Today marks 5 years since we lost Junior Agogo. Thank you for all the memories. Forever in our hearts”, the account wrote.
