In a statement issued by Humwashi Wonosikou, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, the government expressed gratitude to the people of Adamawa for their continuous support and understanding during recent nationwide protests. Unlike other states that experienced violence and destruction, Adamawa remained peaceful, and the government attributes this to its strong bond with the youth.

The government highlighted its investments in education, including free education, school feeding, WAEC/NECO examination fees, scholarships, and infrastructure development.

“We have invested heavily in other sectors such as Security, Health, Agriculture, Sports, Roads/Bridges, and Water supply for the benefit of our youth and their parents,” the statement read.

The government appealed to citizens, especially students, not to allow “miscreants” to create strife and confusion, urging them to go about their lawful activities and remain in school.

“We trust our youths and shall continue to invest in them,” the statement concluded.
