The returning citizens arrived at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at 5:45 am on Tuesday.
Government officials, headed by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), welcomed them upon arrival.
In a statement signed by Bashir Idris Garga, NEMA Director for the North Central zone, it was mentioned that the returnees were processed and briefed by various agencies.
They were also reminded to act responsibly and with decorum now that they are back in Nigeria.
“The federal government urges all Nigerians, wherever they may be, to act as exemplary ambassadors of their country, upholding the fundamental values of patriotism, rule of law, decency, and integrity,” the terse statement added.
