Speaking during the flag-off ceremony for the road construction project from Life Camp to Ring Road III in Abuja, Wike took a strong stance on the complaints surrounding the high cost of living.

Addressing the gathered crowd, he said, “All of you who are claiming you’re suffering…”
Wike, known for his blunt and often controversial statements, continued by highlighting the government’s efforts to improve infrastructure and create more opportunities in the country.

He implied that while economic challenges exist, many Nigerians may be overstating the impact on their day-to-day lives.
