Mustapha, a former Head of the Civil Service in Kaduna, submitted his resignation letter to the Gubuchi ward chairman in Makarfi Local Government Area on July 15th, 2024.

Mustapha cited personal reasons for his decision.

He expressed gratitude to the PDP for the opportunities he had to serve in various capacities during his time with the party.

A five-time Commissioner in Kaduna State, Rabi’u Bako, and a former Permanent Secretary, Suleiman Sambo, also resigned from the PDP.

Bako, in his resignation letter dated July 19th, 2024, criticized the PDP leadership in the state for lacking focus and integrity. Meanwhile, Sambo, in his letter dated July 15th, 2024, also cited personal reasons for his resignation.
