Pedro stated that the government plans to begin the trial to uncover those responsible for Mohbad’s death, attributing the delay to an extensive investigation. He said, “On Mohbad case, I agree there has been a delay, and the delay is caused by time taken for investigation.

“Forensic analysis and toxicology, are all part of the investigation. Full proof investigation that can lead at least to conviction in a case that is presented before the courts.

“The reports have been received from the United States. The autopsy is now with the Lagos State Pathologist and the Coroner magistrate.

“The delay is now with Mohbad’s family who have indicated that they would like to conduct their independent autopsy but despite this, the trial will soon commence and the court will do justice in the matter,” the AG said.
