The party faulted the election results, which saw DSIEC declare Jude Chukwunweike of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as the duly elected winner.

In its petition, LP named DSIEC, Jude Chukwunweike, and PDP as the first, second, and third respondents, respectively.

According to LP: “We argue that the election did not occur in nearly all DSIEC wards in Aniocha South, leaving thousands of eligible voters unable to exercise their franchise due to the absence of voting materials at their units.”
