In Dezhou, Shandong, the strong storm brought powerful winds that knocked down advertisements and vehicles.
In the midst of the storm, a mother and her child were caught by the fierce winds near a shopping mall.
The strong gusts blew them off their feet, leaving them in a perilous situation.
Mr. Wang Chuanfeng, a 59-year-old security guard working at the mall, along with a passerby, bravely fought against the storm to rescue the distressed mother and child.
Fortunately, they managed to bring the pair back to safety amidst the driving rain and powerful winds.
In recognition of his bravery, the shopping mall management awarded Mr. Wang a 500 Chinese yuan reward and an honorary certificate.
