The Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced its first flight schedule for the airlift of pilgrims back to Niger State after completing the 2024 Hajj in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The flight is expected to take off from the King Abdul-Aziz International Airport in Jedda on Sunday, July 7, 2024, to Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport in Minna.
The executive secretary of the board, Sheikh Muhammad Awwal Aliyu, through the Public Relations Officer, Jibrin Usman Kodo, made this disclosure in a statement in Minna.
He said the first flight by Flynas Airline will airlift a total of 425 pilgrims from Mashegu and part of Mariga, with special consideration for some pilgrims who are suffering from health challenges and undergoing medical treatments.
“The weighing of luggage for the first set of pilgrims has started today, Friday, July 5th, ahead of the Sunday first airlift.
“The itinerary of the subsequent flights would be communicated accordingly in due course to ensure a smooth and efficient journey for all pilgrims back from the exercise.
” The Executive Secretary, Board, is working tirelessly for a seamless and well-organised travel plan that prioritises the safety, comfort, and convenience of all pilgrims from the state,” the statement added.
