This is just as he praised the Governor for his outstanding achievements in the education sector since assumption of office about two years ago.

The Commissioner stated these while featuring on a programme put together by the Ministry of Information and Public Enlightenment tagged: ‘Stewardship’.

While reeling out some of the achievements of the present administration in the education sector, the former lawmaker said the state has won several educational awards in competitions attended by students from the State.

He explained that the State emerged second in the 2024 presidential debate, first position in the national robotic competition and came out tops in the national sewing competition among many others.

Speaking on the ongoing teacher’s recruitment exercise, the Commissioner said everything has been put in place to ensure that only qualified candidates are shortlisted.

While stressing that every teaching subject will be adequately catered for in the shortlisting process, Hon. Eluwole hinted that the recruitment process will be completed in two weeks and appointment letters will be given to successful candidates.

The Commissioner who used the occasion to assure that the school feeding programme will continue, stated that the Parents Teachers Association will continue to be majore stakeholders in the quest to make the education sector better.
