A young man whose name was given as Muhammad Mustapha of Madina, 22 years of age has been apprehended and detained by the security authorities of the Adamawa State Police Command on suspicion of kidnapping and murdering his younger cousin.

Sadly, the event took place in the Madina Ward of Mubi North Local Government Area LGA on July 25, 2024, according to the police report revealed to the press.
” The suspect kidnapped and held the victim in a hidden location and demanded a ransom of N2. 8 million” , the press report explained.
It further stated that the innocent youngster was drugged by the suspect before he was fatally strangled to death.
” The suspect was arrested on July 27, 2024, by detectives of the Command attached to the State Intelligence Department (SID) following a report by Harris Muhammed, the victim’ s father, who doubles as an uncle to the suspect” , the police stated.
During interrogation, it was purported that the suspect freely admitted to doing the offense and attributed it to the drug he took which influenced his decision making.
A distress call regarding the sudden disappearance of the deceased was received by the police through the father of the victim who appears to be an uncle to the suspect and upon the receipt of this report, the police dived into action and hunted down the suspect to the secret hideout where he held the boy but unfortunately, the victim was already dead after being brutally sent to his grave.
