Adekuroye sealed her passage after her Algerian opponent Chaimaa Fouzia Aouissi retired during the bout.
Aouissi sustained an injury which forced her to pull out.
Adekuroye will be back on the mat later today.
The 30-year-old is one of Nigeria’s medal hopefuls in Paris.
She is currently the Commonwealth and African champion.
