In what could be described as a shocking development in Abia State, a member of the Abia State House of Assembly representing Aba Central constituency commissioned waste bins as a constituency project to mark one year in office.

According to the report, Mr. Ucheonye while speaking during the commissioning programme claimed that the waste bins would be stationed in strategic locations in the constituency. He reportedly described the distribution of the waste bins as a project he successfully implemented for his constituency.
Meanwhile, one of those who attended the commissioning programme, said the event happened at Azuka road in Ogbor Hill, revealing that the Lawmaker organised a large party for the commissioning.

” With plenty of fanfare to go with it today, the Labour Party lawmaker, Stephen Ucheonye commission refuse disposal bin as constituency project for the people of Aba Central State Constituency, ” he told the newsmen.
Reacting to the development, Nigerians on the social media have blasted the Lawmaker. Many commenters claimed that without a doubt, Nigerian politicians are the same irrespective of the political party they represent.

Meanwhile, it should be noted that some social media users defended the Lawmaker. They described Abia as a very dirty State, therefore, commissioning waste bins was a good project by the politician.
