According to the command’ s Public Relations Officer, ASP Abubakar Sadiq- Aliyu, the arrest took place on October 3, following credible intelligence. Adamu, 45, was residing in Sabon Gida village in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State at the time of his arrest. He faces serious allegations related to criminal conspiracy and kidnapping.

The police investigation traced various kidnapping incidents in Runka back to him, leading to his detention.

Initial inquiries revealed that Adamu was involved in orchestrating kidnappings in his locality. During questioning, he admitted to his role in these crimes and identified two accomplices: Rabe Sada, also known as BBC, aged 62, and Nasiru Sha’ aibu, aged 48, both from Runka village. The trio is accused of providing information to Umar, a suspected kingpin of banditry believed to be operating in the forests around Runka.
ASP Sadiq- Aliyu emphasized that investigations are ongoing to uncover more details regarding their network and activities. The police are committed to addressing the issue of banditry in the region and ensuring the safety of residents.
