According to the Bauchi State Independent Electoral Commission (BSIEC), the Labour Party received 2,200 votes, the highest in the election.

However, due to the absence of a Labour Party candidate, the commission declared the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Lucy Ahmadu Yusuf, who garnered 2,168 votes, as the winner. Yusuf will now represent Lusa B Ward as the newly elected councillor.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Mbam Masoyi, finished third with 275 votes. The announcement was made by the returning officer, Daniel Gambo, at the collation center in Bogoro.

Similarly, Yunusa Muhammad of the African Action Congress (AAC) was declared the winner of the councillorship election in Papa Ward, Darazo Local Government Area of Bauchi state.

According to official results released by the Bauchi State Independent Electoral Commission (BSIEC), Muhammad polled 1,156 votes, defeating his closest rival, Ashiru Mohammad Papa of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who secured 1,053 votes.

The election, which was held on Saturday, saw a high turnout of voters who came out to elect their local representatives.
