Naija News reports that the protesters marched through various streets, calling for an end to bad governance and the severe economic hardships facing the country. The demonstrators carried banners and chanted slogans, voicing their frustration and demand for immediate change.
Speaking to journalists, Solomon Dalung, who served as a minister under the administration of ex- President Muhammadu Buhari, emphasized the importance of peaceful protest.

He urged security agencies not to intimidate the protesters, reminding them that the Constitution guarantees the right to peaceful assembly.
” The right to peaceful assembly is enshrined in our Constitution, ” Dalung said. ” Security agencies should not intimidate citizens who are exercising their rights. ”

Prophet Isa El- buba, the Convener of the Initiative for a Better and Brighter Nigeria, was vocal in his criticism of President Bola Tinubu’ s administration. He called on President Tinubu to resign, accusing him of poor governance.

” President Bola Tinubu must resign; we cannot wait for 2027 to change him! Hunger will not allow us to endure that long, ” declared El- buba.

El- buba further insisted that the protests would continue until their demands for good governance were met. He encouraged the residents to stand up for their rights, emphasizing the need for collective action to bring about change.
” We are going to be here for the next 10 days, ” El- buba announced. ” If you don’ t stand up for your rights, no one will do it for you. ”
