Protesters on Monday stormed the streets of Gusau the Capital of Zamfara State, waving Russian flags and calling President Vladimir Putin to come to the rescue of Nigerians.

The protesters who came out on Monday were carrying leaves and Russian flags, and chanting different songs as they paraded.

Asked why they were carrying Russian flags, they said the reason was to indicate the country’s grievances and need an urgent response from President Putin to come and rescue the country from its present predicament.

The protesting youths also said they were out on a peaceful demonstration not to cause violence or to destroy government or public properties but to ensure the leaders in the country know their grievances.

They added that Present Bola Tinubu in his Broadcast on Sunday, has even provoked Nigerians, describing the speech as empty.
