Witnesses told City & Crime that the suspect arrived in the area around 2 a.m. in a Gulf car, accompanied by two others who had come from the Dutsen-Alhaji junction on the same expressway.
Muhammad Sani, a member of the United Hunters Society of Nigeria in Kubwa, informed our reporter that the two accomplices fled the scene immediately after their vehicle collided with a road barrier.
Sulaiman Yunusa, a security guard at a nearby filling station, stated that a stolen motorcycle driven by one of the robbers was recovered at the scene before the mob set the vehicle ablaze.
He noted that ‘One Chance’ activities have become increasingly common along the expressway, with some individuals stealing goods from parked trucks during the night.
Our reporter visited the scene the following morning and observed scavengers dismantling the abandoned vehicle after it was torched. It was reported that the remains of the suspected robber were taken to the Kubwa hospital morgue by police officers after being alerted about the incident.
Efforts to reach Josephine Adeh, spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, a Superintendent, for comments on the incident were unsuccessful.
