Atletico Madrid will only sell Samuel ‘Samu’ Omorodion to Chelsea if they are able to get Julian Alvarez from Manchester City this summer.
The La Liga club is locked in talks with City over the 24-year-old.
Alvarez is keen on leaving the Premier League champions in search of more playing time and a warmer climate to live.
Although Pep Guardiola is reluctant to let the striker leave, an agreement is close to being reached with Atletico.
If the move for Alvarez is sealed, Atletico will then allow Omorodion leave for Chelsea.
Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, wrote on X: “Atlético Madrid have submitted an official bid to Manchester City to sign Julián Álvarez.
“Deal depends on Omorodion’s exit as Chelsea are in talks over a £35m deal to sign Samu from Atlético, advancing well.
“Domino is on but Samu leaves only if Atlético agrees to Julián’s deal.”
