Barcelona are plotting a summer move to sign Chelsea attacking midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka, according to SPORT.
The Catalan club are reportedly looking to bring in a holding midfielder despite their manager Hansi Flick hinting that a new midfielder won’t be signed.
The Blaugrana were linked with Joshua Kimmich, Amadou Onana and Mikel Merino as their new central midfield signing.
However, the LaLiga giants could make a move for Chukwuemeka before the end of this summer transfer window.
The report added that Chukwuemeka is also open to donning the Barcelona jersey if the opportunity presents itself.
The 20-year-old England youngster has so far made 27 appearances for Chelsea, scoring two goals and providing an assist.
