The congress will be conducted in the 16 local government councils of the state and the two special development areas.
The exercise is coming two weeks after the ward congress was conducted in the 168 wards spread across the state.
In a statement made available to journalists by the party’s spokesman, Andeta’rang Irammae, the party urged all delegates participating in the exercise to adhere strictly to the party’s guidelines and regulations.
The Congress will see to the election of 18 party executive members along with one national delegate across the state’s local government councils.
“We are working in collaboration with security agencies to maintain peace and order throughout the event,” the statement read.
