Sarcastically, IBB in some quotes including that of Obafemi Awolowo and Usman Dan Fodio expressed disappointment in Tinubu’ s speech.
IBB quoted; ‘ ” One of the true test of leadership is the ability to solve the problems and concerns of the people you represents in tough situations, and then come up with a profound long lasting solution that will make them believe in the direction you’ re taking them to. – Obafemi Awolowo

Also, in a statement released on Sunday, Soyinka expressed his disappointment with how the government is managing the protests and highlighted several key areas where he believes the presidential response was insufficient.

Soyinka, an esteemed writer and activist, began by noting that while President Tinubu’ s address covered the government’ s remedial actions since taking office, it failed to adequately address the immediate issues surrounding the management of the protests.
Specifically, Soyinka condemned the use of live ammunition and tear gas against peaceful demonstrators, describing this approach as a regression to colonial- era tactics of suppression and disdain.
