Walson-Jack shared the news in Abuja during the 2026 Civil Service Week, an event that also featured the launch of the new Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) Employee Self-Service Application. Addressing the gathering, she noted that this would be her final Civil Service Week in an official capacity.
Reflecting on her tenure, Walson-Jack credited the success of her reform initiatives to the cooperation of staff across various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs). She emphasized that the modernization of the civil service required not just policy shifts, but the active adoption of new practices by the workforce.
“The progress made in the Federal Civil Service was possible because civil servants accepted the changes and worked together to put them into practice,” she stated.
