9Months After Opening, Rainstorm Destroy Bus Terminal Constructed by Wike

Motorists faced severe traffic congestion along the Nyanya–Keffi Expressway in Abuja after the Kugbo Bus Terminal, inaugurated by Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), in June, suffered structural damage.

Strong winds tore off the terminal’s roof, which had not yet been opened to the public.

Scattered debris from the damaged structure spilled onto the busy roadway, intensifying the evening traffic jam as commuters were heading home.

The incident has raised concerns about the durability of recently commissioned public infrastructure in the city.
