Ohanaeze Ndigbo Identifies 3 Governors, National Assembly Members, Others Working Against Release Of Nnamdi Kanu The Ohanaeze Ndigbo has alleged that some political elites have been frustrating political moves to ensure the release of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, by the federal government of Nigeria. The Ohanaeze, in a fresh statement on Monday, made available, identified three southeast governors, National Assembly members, some fake Biafra agitators, certain elders of the southeast region and some other political elites as working to frustrate Kanu’s release because of their own selfish political gains. Particularly, the group identified a specific Southeast Governor who visited Ebonyi for the commissioning of the Ebonyi International Airport on 5th May 2022, during the tenure of former President Muhammadu Buhari but is not from the state of being heavily involved in the plot to stop the release of the IPOB leader. Ohanaeze, however, warned in its statement that it would no longer fold its arms and watch them sabotage efforts to secure Kanu’s release but would sanction the affected persons if they continue the plans to obstruct Kanu’s release through a potential out-of-court settlement between the federal government and the embattled Biafra agitator. The Ohanaeze statement, signed by its secretary general, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, reads: “The recent turn of events regarding the potential out-of-court settlements between the Federal Government and Nnamdi Kanu has kindled optimism among Nigerians and Ndigbo. “The decision of the Federal High Court Abuja to adjourn the proceedings till September 2024, urging both parties to explore negotiations and settlements under section 17 of the High Court Act, signals a glimmer of hope for justice and reconciliation. “However, amidst this ray of hope, there looms a shadow of discord and self-serving agendas within certain quarters of Southeast Governors, Political Elites, and misguided Elders. These individuals appear intent on obstructing the path to Nnamdi Kanu’s freedom, deriving personal benefits from his continued incarceration, and diverting state resources under the guise of addressing security challenges in the Southeast. “Moreover, there exists a group of political elites from National Assembly masquerading as Patriots but who seem eager to exploit the situation for their political gain, forsaking the true objective of securing Nnamdi Kanu’s release. Additionally, criminals camouflaged as Biafra agitators, led by individuals like Simon Ekpa, are perpetrating acts of violence and criminality that further exacerbate the precarious security situation in the Southeast. “Ohanaeze Ndigbo sternly warns all those who seek to thwart Nnamdi Kanu’s release to consider the gravity of their actions. The people of the Southeast bear the brunt of the escalating insecurity challenges and the economic fallout resulting from civil disobedience, such as the Sit At Home directives. Any efforts to derail the path towards peace and justice will not go unchallenged and there will be consequences. “We express grave concern over the actions of a specific Southeast Governor who has consistently obstructed Nnamdi Kanu’s release for personal political gain. The missed opportunity during Former President Buhari’s visit to Ebonyi for the commissioning of the Ebonyi International Airport on 5th May 2022, due to the Governor’s interference who’s not from Ebonyi State, stands as a clear example of political sabotage. Ohanaeze Ndigbo shall not stand silent as these Governors continue to undermine the interests of the people for their agendas.” The statement added that “Punitive measures and disciplinary actions will be enforced against any individual or group impeding the Southeast’s journey towards peace and justice. “We urge Nnamdi Kanu’s legal team to remain vigilant and guard against political interference from Southeast Governors and politicians that could jeopardize the process of securing his freedom.” Ohanaeze Ndigbo also called upon esteemed Igbo leaders and statesmen like Chief Emeka Anyaoku , Chief Ebitu Ukiwe, Senator Ike Nwachukwu and others to lend their credibility and support to the efforts towards Nnamdi Kanu’s release. The statement added that “The Federal Government must receive assurances from these Igbo respected figures to advance the out-of-court settlements. Let us stand together in pursuit of unity, justice, and prosperity for the Southeast region. “We are resolute in our commitment to peace, justice, and the well-being of all Ndigbo. The time for change is at hand, and together, we shall forge a path towards a brighter future.”Discover more from Ability Digitalz

Ex-Konga CEO Nick Imudia’s Death Not A Suicide; He Was Full Of Life, Says Family

This is contained in a statement signed by Dr. Anthony N. Imudia, who dismissed reports that Imudia had made farewell calls to his brother and daughter, leaving instructions before his passing. The family of Nick Imudia, the former Chief Executive Officer of e-commerce giant Konga, has vehemently denied rumours that he committed suicide. This is contained in a statement signed by Dr. Anthony N. Imudia, who dismissed reports that Imudia had made farewell calls to his brother and daughter, leaving instructions before his passing. The family described the claims as untrue. The statement read, “The family of Nick Imudia is unhappy with the unprofessional manner the media has wrongly characterised the reporting of Nick Imudia’s death as suicide. “This is also supported by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police’s office that has vowed to investigate the sudden death of Nick. Neither did Nick call his brother in America with instructions on how to distribute his wealth, nor placed a call to his daughter with any instructions. “How come the news was reported so hastily (less than 3 hours from his death) before his family members even knew about it and the medical team was still trying to resuscitate him at the hospital! The Imudia family wonders!” The family added that the former Konga CEO hailed from a close-knit family with a good support system. “Nick never showed any sign of stress and he was not diagnosed as depressed at any point. The thought of suicide in the manner portrayed and hastily reported by the news media is suspect,” the family said. Nick Imudia, until his death was the Group CEO of D.light International with Headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, where he was residing. N. Imudia said that the deceased managed the company’s worldwide operations from Nairobi. The family said, “Nick was full of life and people that worked closely with him or met him in the last hours prior to the incident surrounding his death were shocked with the media attributing his death to ‘suicide’. “He was on a short visit to Lagos after a brief trip to the Netherlands and was to return to Nairobi a day after his sudden death. Nick made his initial career mark with Nokia, the Finnish based Telecommunication Company before he was transferred from Helsinki to manage Nokia Asia operations in Singapore. “Later in his career with Nokia, he was appointed as the Managing Director of Nokia – West and Central Africa. When Microsoft bought Nokia, he opted to leave the company. Looking for a new challenge, he became the CEO of Konga Nigeria where he reengineered the company’s operation. “At his prime age and the level of his achievements, people who knew Nick well are all shocked and do not accept the characterization of his death as suicide. Members of Nick’s family do request the media and the general public to allow them to grief their loved one without any unfounded rumour of the circumstances surrounding his death.” SaharaReporters had earlier reported that Nick Imudia reportedly committed suicide in his home by jumping from the balcony of his Lekki, Lagos apartment on the night of Tuesday, June 25. Nick was until his death the CEO of D.light, a company that specialises in the distribution and financing of residential solar energy solutions and transformational household products.Discover more from Ability Digitalz

The Acting Governor of the state, Alhaji Umar Kadafur, made this known in an interview with reporters during a visit to the hospital on Sunday. The acting governor also announced that the state government had settled the medical bills of the victims and is ensuring they receive adequate medical attention. He said that despite the attack, the fight against insurgency and terrorism must continue, adding the state government condemned the attacks on the people. Kadafur also revealed that the perpetrators of the attacks took advantage of the laxity of vigilance by the people following the relative peace achieved in the state. He also appealed to the people to be more vigilant and report any suspicious movement or persons they notice in their area to security personnel so as to avoid a similar occurrence of the incident. Kadafur was accompanied to the hospital by the Senate Chief Whip, Senator Ali Ndume, a member representing Damboa, Gwoza and Chibok Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Ahmadu Jaha, and other government officials.Discover more from Ability Digitalz

Revealed How Traditional Ruler Of Owerre-ezukala, Thomas Ogbannaya Working For Unknown Gunmen
![](https://abilitydigitalz.com.ng/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/Screenshot-2024-07-01-at-11-45-57-BREAKING-Traditional-Ruler-Of-Owerre-ezukala-Thomas-Ogbannaya-Working-For-Unknown-Gunmen.png)
Today’s Hamster Kombat Daily Combo
In a now viral video, the wife of a well known commander of the Eastern Security Network, ESN confessed that the traditional ruler of her village, Igwe Thomas Ogbannaya is working in collaboration with members of the ESN to commit atrocities in Anambra State. The confession came after a raid in Owerre-Ezukala community conducted by men of the Nigerian military last week Tuesday as part of the ongoing operation Udoka in the South East. While being interrogated by men of the Nigerian Army, Mrs Ujunwa Agueze, who’s husband, Onyedika Agueze is currently on the run, confessed that, the igwe of the community allocated lands to IPOB/ESN members where they set up an operational base since 2022. It is from this camp that all the killings and kidnappings taking place in Anambra South Senatorial zone is being carried out. She also confessed that the traditional ruler normally uses members of the ESN in settling land disputes within the community. Many individuals have been killed within the community, houses burnt and some individuals who were taken into the bush from where the group operates never returned. The community which is in Orumba South LGA of Anambra State, shares borders with Alaw in Orji-River LGA of Enugu State and Isuochi in Umunneochi LGA of Abia State. Since it is a walking distance from Isuochi, the ESN men normally enter Isuochi on foot, carry out attacks and kidnappings in Abia State and return to Owerre-Ezukala while the attacks are being attributed to the so-called unknown gun men camp in Umunneochi. The group is reported to have also carried out several attacks on Soldiers in some parts of Imo State. Many kidnap victims are regularly brought into the village in the open. While some are released after payment of ransom. The not so-lucky ones never make it out of the camp. Independent investigations conducted show that the entire community has been over run by members of the ESN as they not only sleep in the camps but also are living within the community in the houses of many youths in the village that have been recruited to join the group. Feelers from other villages within Orumba South LGA indicates that the group is operating without restrictions or fear as they are being shielded by Owerre-Ezukala community.Discover more from Ability Digitalz
