A Nigerian man has sparked widespread reactions on social media after recounting an alleged experience with his wife, claiming it taught him a lesson about revealing certain personal secrets in marriage.
According to Nelson, he once told his wife that she should never touch one of his rings while she was menstruating, claiming that doing so would cause his death.
He explained that the ring was an ordinary one he had purchased and kept in his cupboard.
“Gospel truth, I told my wife that when she is on her menses, she should not touch my ring. If she does, I will kpai. I bought a simple ring and kept it in my cupboard,” he wrote.
Nelson further alleged that during a heated disagreement, his wife deliberately touched the ring after applying menstrual blood to it.
“One day she got very angry during her period and removed her menstrual blood and rubbed it on the ring. I fell down, did as if I can’t breathe.”
He claimed that his wife later became frightened by his reaction and contacted his mother, admitting that her actions had been a mistake.
“That’s when she called my mother and said it was a mistake,” he added.
