The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has disowned a fake document circulating on social media and falsely presented as an official statement from the Board.
The document, allegedly signed by the Board Secretary, Major Gen. A. M. Jibrin (Rtd), reportedly contained claims relating to the ongoing recruitment exercise and a purported presidential candidate announcement.
In a disclaimer signed by the Head of Press and Public Relations, Okeh Juliet, the CDCFIB described the document as fake, unauthorised and not issued by the Board.
The Board said the political opinions and statements contained in the purported announcement were inconsistent with its official non-partisan communication standards.
The CDCFIB urged members of the public to completely disregard the document and rely only on verified communication channels for authentic information concerning its recruitment exercise and other activities.
The Board also reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and effective communication, warning applicants and members of the public to remain vigilant and avoid relying on unverified information circulating on social media.
The CDCFIB further highlighted the Ministry of Interior’s ongoing institutional reform agenda under Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, particularly in the areas of professionalism, accountability, innovation, youth inclusion and improved service delivery.
The Board appreciated the public for its vigilance and cooperation while reiterating that official information should only be obtained through its verified channels…..see more
