United States President Donald Trump has warned that Iran could face total destruction if it refuses to agree to a proposed peace deal with the United States.
Trump made the statement during an interview with Fox News on Sunday and also reiterated the threat on his Truth Social platform.
He further revealed that negotiations are set to resume in Islamabad on Monday.
“If they don’t sign this deal, the whole country is going to get blown up,” Trump said.
Speaking to The New York Post, the Republican president disclosed that his advisers, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, would travel to Islamabad to represent him in the talks.
Trump also suggested he might personally attend the discussions at a later stage, although he did not provide a specific timeline.
“I would say maybe at a little bit later date. We have to see how it works out tomorrow,” he added.
